Er gewann 2010 die <a href="Star_Mazda_Series" class="mw-redirect" title="Star Mazda Series">Star Mazda Series</a>. Er startete von 2011 bis 2013 in der <a href="GP3-Serie" title="GP3-Serie">GP3-Serie</a>. Seit 2013 tritt er in der <a href="IndyCar_Series" title="IndyCar Series">IndyCar Series</a> an.

<p>Daly begann seine <a href="Motorsport" title="Motorsport">Motorsportkarriere</a> im Alter von zehn Jahren im <a href="Kartsport" title="Kartsport">Kartsport</a><sup id="cite_ref-1" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-1"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>1<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> und blieb bis 2010 in dieser Sportart aktiv. Parallel dazu gab er im Winter 2006/2007 sein Debüt im <a href="Formelsport" title="Formelsport">Formelsport</a> und wurde 44. in der <i>Skip Barber Southern Regional Series</i>. In der Saison 2007 trat Daly in mehreren Formelserien an. Am erfolgreichsten war er in der <i>Skip Barber Eastern Regional Series</i>, in der er mit vier Siegen bei sechs Starts Siebter geworden war. Außerdem trat er zu vier Rennen in der <i>Skip Barber National Championship</i> an und wurde 22. in der Fahrerwertung. 2008 blieb er in der Skip Barber National Championship und gewann 5 von 14 Rennen. Am Saisonende setzte er sich gegen <a href="Josef_Newgarden" title="Josef Newgarden">Josef Newgarden</a> durch und wurde mit 388 zu 372 Punkten Meister. Außerdem trat er in der <i>Ontario <a href="Formel_Ford" title="Formel Ford">Formel Ford</a> F1600</i> an und wurde mit fünf Siegen Dritter in deren Fahrerwertung.
</p><p>2009 wechselte Daly in die <a href="Star_Mazda_Series" class="mw-redirect" title="Star Mazda Series">Star Mazda Series</a> zu Andersen Racing. Er gewann ein Rennen und beendete die Saison auf dem dritten Platz in der Meisterschaft. In der folgenden Saison wechselte er innerhalb der Star Mazda Series zu Juncos Racing. Daly gewann 7 von 13 Rennen und beendete jedes Rennen unter den ersten vier Piloten. Das Titelduell entschied er gegen <a href="Anders_Krohn" title="Anders Krohn">Anders Krohn</a> mit 539 zu 460 Punkten deutlich für sich.
</p><p><a href="GP3-Serie_2011" title="GP3-Serie 2011">2011</a> ging Daly in der europäischen <a href="GP3-Serie" title="GP3-Serie">GP3-Serie</a> für <a href="Carlin_Motorsport" title="Carlin Motorsport">Carlin</a> an den Start. Mit drei Punkteplatzierungen schloss er die Saison auf dem 17. Meisterschaftsplatz ab. Außerdem nahm Daly an <a href="Indy-Lights-Saison_2011" title="Indy-Lights-Saison 2011">fünf Rennen</a> der <a href="Indy_Lights" class="mw-redirect" title="Indy Lights">Indy Lights</a> für <a href="Sam_Schmidt_Motorsports" class="mw-redirect" title="Sam Schmidt Motorsports">Sam Schmidt Motorsports</a> teil.<sup id="cite_ref-2" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-2"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>2<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Nachdem er die Meisterschaft mit einem Sieg zwischenzeitlich angeführt hatte, belegte er am Saisonende den 13. Gesamtrang. <a href="GP3-Serie_2012" title="GP3-Serie 2012">2012</a> wechselte Daly innerhalb der GP3-Serie zu <a href="ART_Grand_Prix" title="ART Grand Prix">ART Grand Prix</a>, dem Meisterteam der Vorsaison, die als <i>Lotus GP</i> antraten.<sup id="cite_ref-3" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-3"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>3<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Daly gewann ein Rennen und stand fünfmal auf dem Podest. Er beendete die Saison auf dem sechsten Gesamtrang und unterlag damit seinen Teamkollegen <a href="Daniel_Abt" title="Daniel Abt">Daniel Abt</a> und <a href="Aaro_Vainio" title="Aaro Vainio">Aaro Vainio</a>, die Zweiter bzw. Vierter wurden.
</p><p>Nachdem Daly im Winter GP3-, <a href="GP2-Serie" class="mw-redirect" title="GP2-Serie">GP2</a> und <a href="IndyCar_Series" title="IndyCar Series">IndyCar</a><sup id="cite_ref-4" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-4"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>4<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup>-Testfahrten absolviert hatte, erhielt er zunächst ein Cockpit für den <a href="GP2-Serie_2013" title="GP2-Serie 2013">Saisonauftakt</a> der GP2-Serie bei <a href="Hilmer_Motorsport" title="Hilmer Motorsport">Hilmer Motorsport</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-5" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-5"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>5<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Dabei erzielte er mit einem siebten Platz Punkte. Anschließend kehrte Daly in die GP3-Serie zurück, in der er bei ART blieb.<sup id="cite_ref-6" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-6"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>6<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> In <a href="Circuit_Ricardo_Tormo" title="Circuit Ricardo Tormo">Valencia</a> gewann er das Hauptrennen. Er schloss die <a href="GP3-Serie_2013" title="GP3-Serie 2013">Saison 2013</a> auf dem dritten Gesamtrang mit 126 Punkten ab. Damit lag er zwischen seinen Teamkollegen <a href="Facu_Regal%C3%ADa" title="Facu Regalía">Facu Regalía</a> und <a href="Jack_Harvey_(Rennfahrer)" title="Jack Harvey (Rennfahrer)">Jack Harvey</a>, die 138 bzw. 114 Punkte erzielt hatten. Darüber hinaus debütierte Daly <a href="IndyCar_Series_2013" title="IndyCar Series 2013">2013</a> in der IndyCar Series für <a href="A._J._Foyt_Enterprises" title="A. J. Foyt Enterprises">A. J. Foyt Enterprises</a> und nahm am <a href="Indianapolis_500" title="Indianapolis 500">Indianapolis 500</a> <a href="Indianapolis_500_2013" title="Indianapolis 500 2013">2013</a> teil.<sup id="cite_ref-7" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-7"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>7<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> In den USA absolvierte er zudem für das Team Moore Racing einen <a href="Indy-Lights-Saison_2013" title="Indy-Lights-Saison 2013">Renneinsatz</a> in der Indy Lights. Dabei wurde er Dritter.
</p><p><a href="GP2-Serie_2014" title="GP2-Serie 2014">2014</a> fuhr Daly in der GP2-Serie bei <a href="Team_Lazarus" title="Team Lazarus">Venezuela GP Lazarus</a>.<sup id="cite_ref-8" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-8"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>8<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> Er pausierte für zwei Veranstaltungen und belegte den 26. Gesamtrang. Darüber hinaus nahm er für RSR Racing an einem Rennen der <a href="United_SportsCar_Championship" class="mw-redirect" title="United SportsCar Championship">United SportsCar Championship</a> (USCC) <a href="United_SportsCar_Championship_2014" title="United SportsCar Championship 2014">2014</a> teil. 2015 ist Daly ohne Vollzeitcockpit. In der <a href="IndyCar_Series_2015" title="IndyCar Series 2015">IndyCar Series 2015</a> sprang er bei <a href="Dale_Coyne_Racing" title="Dale Coyne Racing">Dale Coyne Racing</a> kurzfristig als Ersatz für den verletzten <a href="Rocky_Moran_junior" title="Rocky Moran junior">Rocky Moran jr.</a> ein und nahm am <a href="Toyota_Grand_Prix_of_Long_Beach_2015" title="Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach 2015">Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach</a> teil. Anschließend erhielt er bei <a href="Schmidt_Peterson_Motorsports" class="mw-redirect" title="Schmidt Peterson Motorsports">Schmidt Peterson Motorsports</a> ein Cockpit für das <a href="Indianapolis_500_2015" title="Indianapolis 500 2015">Indianapolis 500</a> und teilte sich danach zusammen mit <a href="Ryan_Briscoe" title="Ryan Briscoe">Ryan Briscoe</a> das Schmidt-Peterson-Cockpit des verletzten <a href="James_Hinchcliffe" title="James Hinchcliffe">James Hinchcliffe</a>. Daly vertrat Hinchcliffe bei drei Rennen. Darüber hinaus trat Daly zu einigen Rennen der <a href="United_SportsCar_Championship_2015" title="United SportsCar Championship 2015">United SportsCar Championship 2015</a> an und wurde Achter in der Prototype Challenge.

<p>Für die <a href="IndyCar_Series_2016" title="IndyCar Series 2016">IndyCar Series 2016</a> erhielt Daly ein Vollzeitcockpit bei Dale Coyne Racing.<sup id="cite_ref-9" class="reference"><a href="#cite_note-9"><span class="cite-bracket">[</span>9<span class="cite-bracket">]</span></a></sup> In Detroit erzielte er mit einem zweiten Platz seine erste IndyCar-Podest-Platzierung. Er beendete die Saison auf der 18. Position im Gesamtklassement. <a href="IndyCar_Series_2017" title="IndyCar Series 2017">2017</a> absolvierte er die volle Saison bei <a href="A._J._Foyt_Enterprises" title="A. J. Foyt Enterprises">A. J. Foyt Enterprises</a>. Mit einem fünften Platz als bestes Ergebnis wurde er wieder 18. im Gesamtklassement. <a href="IndyCar_Series_2018" title="IndyCar Series 2018">2018</a> und <a href="IndyCar_Series_2019" title="IndyCar Series 2019">2019</a> bestritt er für mehrere Teams einzelne Rennen. 2019 begann er <a href="Max_Chilton" title="Max Chilton">Max Chilton</a> mit Ausnahme beim <a href="Indianapolis_500" title="Indianapolis 500">Indianapolis 500</a> bei <a href="Carlin_Motorsport" title="Carlin Motorsport">Carlin</a> auf den Ovalkursen zu vertreten. <a href="IndyCar_Series_2019" title="IndyCar Series 2019">2019</a> bestritt er die komplette Saison für zwei Teams. Bei Carlin fuhr er weiterhin als Vertretung und bei den restlichen Rennen für <a href="Ed_Carpenter_Racing" title="Ed Carpenter Racing">Ed Carpenter Racing</a>, wo Teamchef <a href="Ed_Carpenter" title="Ed Carpenter">Ed Carpenter</a> ausschließlich auf den Ovalen startet. Vier der fünf Ovalrennen beendete er innerhalb der ersten Zehn. In <a href="Iowa_Speedway" title="Iowa Speedway">Newton</a> startete er erstmals von der Pole-Position. In der Fahrerwertung wurde er 17. <a href="IndyCar_Series_2021" title="IndyCar Series 2021">2021</a> startete er wie im Vorjahr für Carlin und Ed Carpenter Racing. Ohne ein Rennen unter den ersten zehn zu beenden, wurde er 18. in der Fahrerwertung. Beim Indy 500 war er der Fahrer mit den meisten Führungsrunden.
